Luka had another scan today, moderate sprain confirmed.
His mom hopes he'll be back on court after ny.

She used words "Today he was on scanning, it is a little more heavy sprain, but he'll be back soon."
On "After new year?" Q she answered :"Yes, let's hope so."
Sounds good. I think Jan would be a good target could be a little bit sooner depending on how things are progressing. It stinks to not have him on a tough road trip but once he's back healthy it will be fine. Mavs need to just scrap and claw as many wins as they can in the interim.
Man I know Luka hates not playing but he has to love his team stepping up to the challenge while he's out.

Agreed. It's probably getting him hyped to get back faster to play.
I see that Dirk bequeathed his "snap-back" ankles to Luka. Awfully generous of him.
Luka disappeared from the ESPN list of injured players today. Any additional info regarding his injury status?

I'm pretty sure it's well known that ESPN's injury list is woefully unreliable until moments before the game.

I think Luka is definitely going to be out against Toronto, given what Carlisle has said. But hopefully he's 100% ready to go against the Spurs on the 26th.

Seems like you could just save him for the Lakers game but its promising that he's at least flirting with coming back sooner.
It would be nice to see him against the Spurs. I am interested to see how they handle him with the GSW/Lakers b2b if he's back by then.
