The Oklahoma City Thunder are finalizing a trade to send G Tre Mann and F Davis Bertans to the Charlotte Hornets for Gordon Hayward, sources tell ESPN.

Another interesting buyout option gone.

Good move for OKC. They gave up nothing. Now lets see if Hayward can get healthy.

Gordon Hayward could still get some of his trade bonus in this 3 for 1 framework.

The Hornets need to cut a player or two before making this deal or expand it to resolve their roster crunch.

I don't think Hayward was ever a real buyout possibility. Lots of articles before the deadline said Hayward would deny any buyout. 

How true that was we'll never know.
