Not a valid poll - no headband option.

Would have loved to give it to OMax, but let's be real. History-making triple doubles are hard to come by.
That was legit one of the best games I've ever seen from the Mavs. The offensive brilliance was a sight to see. Basically every single guy made the correct choice for 45/48 minutes pretty much.

As such it's hard to just give the dirkie to one guy. I toyed with Exum, given that he was inserted into the starting lineup and put up a masterclass of energy and doing all the little things. Speaking more, Exum seems like the exact 3rd guy in the starting lineup. The chaotic energy he plays with, coupled with fantastic passing and defense is such a beautiful sight. What a signing he was.

Kyrie also was just on point tonight. He easily could've had 40+ if he wanted to, but was reserved and put up the quietest 26 point game in 27 minutes. I saw many moments between him and the rest of the team where he constantly was dapping them up and just joking around. Good vibe kai.

Luka.... I mean what the hell. Slovenian Jordan might not be apt enough. I don't think I've ever seen such a precise offensive blowout since maybe Dirk's 48 points on 15 shots. Add in the fact Luka had an 18 minute 1st half triple double and we're looking at an all time great game. When his shot is on he is impossible to guard and the Mavs are basically the scariest team in the league. He was locked in and was brimming with energy. Just an incredible game from him. Also got to add he had this hilarious tid bit after the game:

Lets talk OMax. I was very keen on watching the Taylor Hendricks vs. OMax minutes this game. I was all in on Hendricks. This game he showed flashes on why I fell in love with him, even if he had an overall forgettable game. OMax on the other hand looked just as good as Hendricks if not better. His defense is incredible. Even if he looks like a jitterbug at times on the court, he effectively covers anyone and everyone. He had some great moments and even had a good looking 3. I hope we see more minutes of the future because while he looks green behind the ears, the potential is there.

DLive is a monster. I couldn't have been more wrong post draft night. He just keeps getting better and better. The impact he has on the games are immense and his defense is incredible. I am so excited to see what he grows into.

In the end I decided to give it to Luka. It's hard to argue with the 1st 25+pt 1st half triple double in NBA history AND passing Larry Bird on the all-time triple double lists AND hitting the 40pt mark for the 34th time in his career.
Powell's reaction here was hilarious

Love me some Dirkie voting. Love SH takes too. Great night!
I could ding Luka for only having 29 points with his halftime triple double but I won't. Luka gets the vote
First half triple double is too good to pass up for me, so Luka gets my vote.

But man, Lively is a difference maker, and I thought Exum had himself a noticeably impactful game, too.
Luka went nuclear. He has my vote. But loved what Exum brings to the starting lineup. The three PG lineup worked really well a couple of years ago. Maybe we have a new version of it. Exum should get a chance to remain a starter.

He’s playing well, and is such a great, mature glue-guy type. I like how he pushes the pace and keeps the ball moving, and I like his defense.

I worry that as opponents get better and more organized, his shooting is going to cause problems for the team. He’s already noticeably the most sagged off of rotation player as it is. I think there’s a world in which his playing time evaporates during playoff season because of that. I hope not, though.
I'll have to give the Dirkie to Luka for his first half triple double. He was playing loose and free--happy.

Consideration to Kyrie and THJ.

Dante Exum is a great glue guy and pretty good point guard.
