#Nuggets forward Vlatko Cancar suffered a torn ACL in his left knee playing for Slovenia yesterday, source told @denverpost. There’s no timetable for surgery as of yet.

That's actually a huge blow for Slovenia imo. I'm majorly pissed. Need Prepelic to step up.
Cannot find stats for the prep games but Luka is probably shooting sub 60% from the FT line. Almost reaching "hack-a-Luka" range.
So World Cup is under way.

Australia won big against All by MarkkanenSelf. Not great games +/- wise from Exum and especially Green (team worst). EFF rating were much better, but neither was involved in the Aussies big runs.

Vucevic killed it for Montenegro. 27/10 in 30 minutes, shooting 74/67/100.
Canada with a dominant performance vs France. Good game from Powell. Game high +35 in 23 minutes as the primary defender vs Gobert.

He’s a good player. Just have to play to his strengths and away from his weaknesses, the same as anyone else.
Slovenia wins against Venezuela. Luka had a dominant showing with 37 points.

The end result was a 15 point blowout but it was definitely a little shaky at times for Slovenia. Venezuela stuck around for most of the game until some bursts in the late 2nd and 3rd quarter that put them away. Against tougher competition I think Slovenia needs to clean it up.

US players on nearly all rosters. Just saw that Mavs legend Carlik Jones is playing for South Sudan. Dropped 35/6/11 vs Puerto Rico.

Cannot wait for the sign Mike Tobey comments from Mavs fans and media. 21pts 9/9 FG 3/3 3PA.

Haha. Yeah. I was checking their boxscore to see whether the 16 year old had played. He got a DNP. For their next game ESPN will tell that coach that they are supposed to showcase the wunderkind not try to win games. Big Grin
Exum looks really good for Australia. Green. Undecided

With Germany sitting F. Wagner with the ankle sprain tonight, it looks like it might come down to Luka vs. Germany for the QF spots, if the rest goes according to plan.

Germany just beat Australia without F. Wagner. Some players are just a different level for the national team, Schroeder is certainly one of them. So is Patty Mills. Oh and Ingles is certainly washed. He missed a FT.

Big time performance from Schroder. Not a good game from Giddey. Wouldn´t call it an upset but on paper I had Australia winning this one. Germany has legit NBA level front court depth. Even with Franz Wagner out and Moritz being a non factor they still had a number of versatile Maxi-like defenders.
A collection of good role players. Very likely that most of them could be at least fringe rotation players in the NBA. Way better than the supporting casts Dirk had to work with.

Yeah. If Spain didn´t BS their way into an American PG a few weeks before the tournament, Germany would have won the European Championship last year.

Also respect to KAT for playing for DOM, and not choosing the easy American way like so many others.

Despite the loss, I think Exum looked pretty good again.  He had some nice drives and several nice passes.  He seems to make good decisions with the ball.   I think he looked better than Josh Giddy this particular game.  I’m not seeing anything special on defense but he looks OK there.  He offers more offensively than I thought he would.   Exum’s stock continues to go up.
