They should have it in the bag now.
Why did Kidd have to play Wood finally. He's too good to tank
Well that was fun while it was lasted. Popovich definitely must have seen the score of the Rockets game before OT started and from that point on, it was over.
I wonder if the plan was to get the ball into Woods hands. Just like that posession before, where it also wasn't the best decision.
I dont trust this team to keep this lead.
Even the Mavs can't blow this lead

It's over. Spurs have shot their load.
They avoided disaster.
Wood took us home.  Nice.  Let’s see if we can build on it.

Green was good again.

Maybe my favorite Hardy game of year.  Really struggled shooting.  Had no problem getting into the lane but could not finish.  He stuck with it though and played better during the stretch.  But he handled the ball a lot and made good decisions passing the ball.  Is that the first close game this year where he impacted winning?  He is earning playing time even with his rawness.

Wright had some good moments but also some killer turnovers.

Powell got us back in the game and really was the catalyst late.

Maxi looks really bad now.  Hopefully he can round into form because we have very little options if he is not right.
Wood plays 28 minutes and puts up the following numbers:

28 points 13 rebounds 3 assists 1 block (Altered many other shots)

And Kidd believes he should be coming off the bench?  What an idiot.  How good would our record be if Wood started and played significant minutes?
Five Mavs with at least 20 points.
Kidd will say that Powell had the better game

Today that´s probably a legit take. 22pts without a single missed FG. Including 9 consecutive points in the late 4th quarter to bring the Mavs back in the game.
If we could get Luka and Kyrie to run Horns every possession like they were in OT it would be over for the league.

And a magnificent +5 in his minutes.
Actually got to see one in person this time. It’s been awhile. The San Antonio arena is nice but is in a bizarre location, that’s for sure. A big Coca Cola trucking facility is across the street and there’s no real development around it. Not much synergy at all with the surrounding neighborhood. A huge number of Dallas fans were in the building.

As for the game. The Mavs aren’t tanking. They played super hard and to win. So did the Spurs. Reggie, Powell, and Wood made the difference tonight. Reggie had a low key great game.  My main takeaway:The Mavs should play more two big lineups going forward.

Yeah can´t grab a rebound to save his life all year, but when his next 40/4 contract hinges on beating the short-handed worst team in the league, he suddenly grabs 3-4 offensive rebounds in a row, just so we cannot tank for his replacement. Classic Mavs.
keep our position and beat our opponent in the first play-in game so we will qualify as the #7 to take on kings or Memphis in first round. ain't too bad, at least in that scenario we will have a slim chance to make round two. can't expect more from boys in blue this season, 2nd round exit ain't too disappointing imho.
There's no way this team makes it to the second round. That's just hoping first off that we even make the play in and then second that suddenly Luka figures out how to use his team and play with Kyrie. I'd prefer we tank instead of losing a play in game or even a first round series. Handing the Knicks our pick in the range it will be is terrible asset management.

Do you feel like keeping our pick and drafting someone who won't be fully developed when we need him now would be any better?  Put us back in a position where we're still dealing with protections and only having one pick to trade?  I don't understand how this would be terrible asset management considering the range was predetermined so you're basically saying it was poor asset management from the jump, not just in this moment (which there is valid argument to think that).

Do people understand that if we end up keeping that pick that we're still just flipping it on draft night anyway?  Tanking just doesn't accomplish much for this franchise in the long run.
