Kidd should get a T for this lopsided officiating.  Luka is checked out.

Thank you. True. Hard to be “mature” in those circumstances. But the calls will come back. Probably the whistles will help us make a run at it in the 3rd.

Well, maybe this embarrassment is the best thing that could happen to these guys, Luka in particular. Something needs to wake him up about how much harder he is going to have to work on his body and his defense to climb the mountain. No one can "coast" to a NBA championship on talent alone.

Luka definitely doesn’t get the whistle Curry and Poole are getting, but to be fair he has brought a ton of this on himself by making enemies of the refs for 4 years.

It won’t be like this forever. He’ll figure out how to get playoff calls eventually, when he isn’t seen as a punk kid. And in the meantime, I believe he’ll learn how to carry himself better during these stretches, too. 

But right now, at age 23, in his first WCF, he’s embarrassing himself a bit, imho.

It has been a problem of the league for about 20 years that physical superiority has been called as a disadvantage. Basically it´s not legal for Luka to simply back down Curry with his strength, but it´s okay for Curry to run by Luka with his speed. Imagine if Luka could simply grab Steph every time he runs by him, because he´s too fast. That´s how they call the game on physically stronger players. Wiggins can handcheck, Green can bump etc.

We have been through this before with Dirk, when the smaller defenders basically could live in his personal space, bump him, shove him, cause it was too unfair, if he just shot over them.

Kerr mentioned that Luka reminds him of prime Harden.  I didn't realize he meant prime playoff Harden.

He deserves the heat for the dog crap defensive effort he’s put forth. 

And sure it’d be nice to just put your head down and play through it.  But honestly he did that early and these goons in stripes are just content to let GS blatantly foul Luka every time he attacks.  Hell Wiggins fouls him every single possession on the perimeter.  

So I’m fine with Luka getting called out for making the Mavs play 4 on 5 defense way too often.  Roast his ass for it.  But I’d also like to see Kidd blow his gasket and call out this bullshit from the officials after the first 3-4 times it happened.  This is ridiculous.

The Luka haters are loving it. Frustrating how much power refs have. Keep driving to the basket, they might call one eventually… When the Mavs are down 30.

Still, get back on defense… so they can call the touch foul on you instead.
