Injury report for the Pelicans has the following guys listed as OUT for tonight: Nance Jr (surgery on knee), Zion (foot, too many twinkies), Kira Lewis Jr (torn ACL).

Last game before all star break is always tricky.   I think I would prefer it being on the road...I think.   You never know who is already thinking of being on a beach for a few days and mentally checked out.

One would have to think that New Orleans is more susceptible to this type of thinking than Dallas, but to your point it is tricky.

I guess it's good the schedule  wasn't reversed and we started the ASB after a game in Miami.

Always nice to go into the ASB on a high note. Must win game.

I think a poll with Dinwiddie's O/U on assists would have been more interesting.  I went under on points as I think Dinwiddie will primarily focus on moving the ball until he is comfortable with his role on the team.

My prediction for Bertrans: 15min and 15pts on better than 50% shooting.

It was not meant as a slight in any way, shape or form.  I just stated my personal opinion.

I’m sorry if I came off as you slighting. I’m serious when I say, we want more creative ideas for threads like what you said. We can’t think of everything all the time. That’s where you all come in. We’ll sticky the thread for you, you come up with more creative ways to make the thread better!!!

So I just did a numbers exercise on the new guys per 36 for their career, best year, and current year. Averaged those over 24 mpg and this is what I came up with:

Spencer Dinwiddie: 12 PTS / 5 AST / 3 RBS

For comparison, here are the 24 mpg numbers for our own guys from last year and this year:

THJ: 12 PTS / 1 AST / 3 RBS

Brunson: 11 PTS / 3 AST / 3 RBS

Current year Bullock: 8 PTS / 1 AST / 3 RBS



And now for Davis Bertans:

10 PTS / 4 RBS / 6 3PA


And for the current Mavs comps:

Maxi: 7 PTS / 4 RBS
Powell: 7 PTS / 4 RBS


Would we all be ok with 12/5/3 from SD and 10/4 from Bertans off the bench?

You play Maxi and one of DFS or RB with Bertans and you're okay defensively. I'd like to see SD play some with Josh Green at the 2 as well.





In their first and only game with the Mavs, Dinwiddie hit the assist (5) and rebound numbers (2) playing 23 minutes. It was clear that he wasn't looking to score as much, for obvious reasons. 

While Bertans exceeded the points (12), rebounds (3) and 3PA (7) shooting 43% in only 13 minutes.


I'll ask again: Would we all be ok with 12/5/3 from Dinwiddie and 10/4 from Bertans off the bench? (It's a YES for me dawg)

I'm curious to see the minute allocation with Bullock possibly being back tonight... Can Kidd find more minutes for Bertans?
