Full Version: Official NBA Referee Hate Thread

Mavs fans have a long and storied history of hating on NBA referees, who as part of a broader conspiracy or acting as lone wolf attempt to job our proud franchise every chance they get. This is a safe space to pile on the officiating whenever you see fit.

I'll start us off:

Last night's game against the magic was at risk of resulting in an L due to the latest entry in a long line of garbage calls against the Mavs.  With :52 seconds to go Markelle Fultz clearly slapped DFS right across the forearm resulting in a turnover..  yet it was ruled clean. Lo and behold, this potentially game-changing blown call has today been ruled an Incorrect No Call in the Mavs-Magic two minute report.

Ref hate is the most unproductive thing. Until they provide full game reports is wasted anyway.

If they would want to have better calls they would have 1 or 2 TV refs anyway using standardized camera angles.

These refs could also make calls and stop the game.

Further timeouts would be signaled via buttons to the TV ref so the on court ref doesn't miss it. On court ref would be more responsible in guiding the game instead of ruling it.

It's fun. There is not a one to one correlation between sports fandom and real life.
Watching Luka get assaulted by the Lakers with no calls and the Lakers getting to the line anytime a Mav got near them was screwed up...
Last night, inadvertent whistle when THJ hit a three and he thought Dwight Powell stepped out of bounds. Ref said "my bad, didn't mean to", but yet the basket didn't count.

That was super confusing.

If you're frustrated now, just wait until Hardin comes to town...
