I haven’t bothered to look this up, but I can’t imagine the number of times one team has beaten another 3 times in the span of barely 2 weeks (outside of the playoffs) is very high. Time to add to that list. Must win game.
Must win the winnables with this tough little stretch we're in
The Mavs should win this one.

I hope so, because good season or bad, beating the Spurs will never get old.

Starting lineup still sucks....

....BUT Luka looking like his superstar self for almost the first time this season. Hope it sticks!
The JB+SB+FN+RB+WCS lineup is just GREAT defensively....SO GOOD.

For the season they are: 108.0 pts O, 74.1 pts D....Net Rating +33.9. That D, so good.
The SAS broadcast just said Luka is -96 +/- for the year....second worst among all NBA starters. They literally said, "Normally guys get cut for numbers like that...."
More rolling from KP!!!
@"Kammrath" with Luka looking like Luka tonight, and his
+/- lagging behind Brunson and Bullock, that's more evidence that there is something screwy going on with the lineups, not primarily with Luka.
@"Kammrath" so far the eye test has confirmed two things for me:

1) while Brunson is running the show, there is more emphasis on spacing. No doubt. Porzingis much more perimeter oriented during those stretches.

2) while the porzingis inside the arc touches seem to be on Luka’s watch, when he DOES get space, he IS having trouble beating guys like Young and Vassel. In Young’s case, I feel like he would’ve had no chance against Luka at the end of last season.

I don’t know if that helps us find truth, but I’m confident about the above.
More cutting from KP!!!
More deep catch post ups for KP!!!
Quick trade KP at halftime!!! Wink
Shot didn’t fall, but that was a nice pass by KP out of the short roll.

SECONDARY CREATION.

Yep!

Best offensive half IMO by KP.

1) The DEEP post up catches are WAY better than the elbow or free throw line catches.
2) He is really effective as a roller and cutter if you can manufacture those circumstances for him.
Great KP half.   I have said it since he has been here, the key for him is to get him some easy baskets and free throws.   He had two baskets in the lane early in the game and then two hammer dunks later on.   Just keep him engaged.   This isn't entirely coaching or the Mavs issue either though. KP needs to be aggressive for position and go get the ball.

Mavs looked pretty good in the first half.   I am still waiting for that one cold spell where they look terrible for 3-4 minutes, but we will see.
