On my 10th day in ICU, COVID-19 is officially kicking my but, I am asking ALL family, friends , prayer warriors healers for your prayers and well wish for my recovery.
If I have done and anything to you in the past , allow me to publicly apologize.
My fight is not done…..

Sheesh. I hope he pulls through. Will be praying for him tonight.
Oh man...I am sorry to hear about this.  Best Wishes for Cedric.  He's a fighter!  Hope to see him back on TV soon.
Wow. How did I miss this?

Prayers and well wishes.
My favorite Ceballos moment ever was watching him put up 20 points and 13 rebounds for Dallas while completing the game after breaking both wrists in the first quarter. That was one of the most impressive feats in the face of adversity I've ever seen.

Get well soon, Ced. I look forward to displacing that moment at the top of the list with your eventual recovery. You rock, and you have a lot of fans on your side.
Best wishes for a recovery.  I enjoyed watching him on the Mavs pre and post game shows.  But it seemed that when they went to Bally, Ced was fazed out - was that true?

Anyway, get well Ced.
Has he said whether he was vaxxed?

I doubt it.  Chances of ending up in the ICU after full vaccination are almost nil.  Still don't want a guy like Ced to be sick like this.  Hope he pulls through and then gets it.
Guess something other than COVID?

He's lucky to find a place to get treated these days.

Nothing but best wishes for his recovery.
Probably his PCR test is negative by now as the virus load is too little. Still his body is severely damaged by the virus. Only explanation for that strange wording.
Doesn't get vaccinated.
Doctors/nurses/modern medical care work on him for two weeks to keep him from dying.
Oh wow he's recovering thanks to all the prayers.

I'm sorry but I'm too old and jaded to not blast these morons.

I kind of see where this sentiment is coming from, tbh.

Serious question -- How do you know he's not?

What if I told you Ced has a family history of cardiovascular problems, underwent open heart surgery in 2011, and despite taking way better care of himself than most people just doesn't have the strongest system to fight a virus like this?

Quote:"The doctor said it's like my heart has been breathing through a straw for a long time and now it's breathing through a big pipe," Ceballos said. "I still think it needs to work hard. But other than that, I feel good. I don't have to change my lifestyle. I was already eating good. I didn't drink. I didn't smoke. All those things were perfect. It was just a family history and it was bound to happen."

Life is too short to be so cynical. Maybe we can save the vaccine talk for another day and simply take the time to support a good man in genuine need.

Sorry, but at this point I feel no sympathy for Ceballos or any other unvaxxed person who suffers under the weight of Covid complications or death.  I think hospitals should simply have a Covid wing, with the rest of it operating, treating and providing usual resources for the myriad of other illnesses/conditions currently being ignored.  If then someone who is unvaxxed gets Covid, they are put on a waiting list.  Once one of those beds opens up, they can be treated.  If they die before that happens, too bad.  But throwing exhaustive, heroic measures toward people who could've otherwise been saved by simply getting preventative vaccines is ridiculous.

Ceballos doesn't deserve pity and prayers.  He needs to be constantly reminded he's a moron.

Bullshit.  The whole "Let's save the (insert critical topic) talk for another day" garbage is the same stuff pushed after school shootings, natural disasters caused by climate change, power grid failures and racist attacks.  The time to discuss important issues is NOW.

My favorite MLK quote talks about how people try to push things off to more convenient times.

Please seek help for your mental condition
I get that Ced is part of the Mav's family and hope he gets better soon.

I don't know if he did or did not get vaccinated, but if he chose not when he already had underlying issues, then it is a disservice to himself, his family and others in his circle.

I'm not calling out Ced specifically, and sincerely hope he gets better soon, but the hospitalized COVID patients by far are the unvaccinated, most of whom have made a choice to not seek the readily available vaccine. Their decision has now clogged the system so much that people are dying from non-covid causes due to lack of treatment space.
