Gotta give it to Chicago. They got a FRP and a SRP for a player they didn't want and who didn't want to resign in Chicago. All for the price of taking DJJ expiring, who might actually work well for them. We might have our doubts about some of the moves, but Chicago convinced Ball, DeRozan and Caruso to come to Chicago while having zero cap space.

I think the DeRozan move was absolute trash, but other than that I think they pulled off a pretty amazing summer, tbh. I personally wouldn't have wanted Ball, but I recognize that they did want him and give them credit for pulling it off.
Darn good negotiating from CHI. They got their 1st round pick.

Huge for them.

Eh, you are not doing this right. Big Grin

It´s a lottery protected 1st round pick and a 2nd round pick. Nobody can find good players in that draft range and these picks are therefore useless. Cool

The "Chuckster" says Chicago had the best Free Agency of any team. But you can draw your own conclusion.

They also obviously wanted DeRozan Smile Point is - they got players they wanted and they were a non playoff team without cap space. If this guys will actually work together and deliver a result is a whole different discussion.

Mavs went into the biggest offseason (their words) and got away with a MLE level guy.

Yeah, but I refuse to give credit for that one, especially at the money he got. I can't get there.
Did I win my WCS signature bet?  I forgot who I bet, lol.
Well poop
I’m disappointed Nico hasn’t turned the franchise around in his first 30 days on the job.
Nobody is talking about the big loser in this deal. Portland did well. Chicago got rid of a guy they didn't want and who didn't want to be there, and got a FRP for him.

Markkannen got a fresh start like he wanted, and got the money he was looking for.

Cleveland way overpaid for Markkannen, and then overpaid on his contract. I firmly believe they will regret this contract in a year or two.

You bet @"Kammrath", and it's looking good for you. But technically, you don't win until both Powell and Porzingis are on the roster when the season starts.
