Better be for the minimum
Boban is the best player on the Mavs and if you disagree then you should take a long hard look in the mirror.
Love Boban, waste of a roster spot, should have made him a coach.

Saw a handsome dude with awesome basketball takes. He just told me that Boban is the truth. Also reminded me that Burke is way worse and needs to be included in a potential Dragic trade.

Jeesus. Please tell me we’re not concerned with getting Boban’s freaking bird rights.

Boban still one of the most interesting players on the Dallas roster for me.
Despite lots of fans kind of looking at him like a 15th man, he ended up starting for the Mavs for critical playoff games.
Instead of being used like a giant towel waver Boban was side by side with Luka & KP putting up some of the best +/- on the entire Mavs roster against the top tier talent of the NBA.

To your point about his Bird rights, if he's beloved by Luka but also if Luka actually sees him as a viable helper to his Mavs (Luka knows Boban from International play too, where he's been good for a long time) then its possible the Mavs are thinking beyond 1 year, and maybe Boban could finish his NBA career in Dallas.
He's 32, so bird rights to take him to the end aren't out of the question

That said, he's an anomaly and challenge to know how to use, defense vs offense, so I'm interested to see how Jason Kidd views him.  He could be anywhere from the 15th man kept for locker room value only to an important part of the rotation that teams still struggle to stop offensively and keep off the boards.
Its a new regime.  I've got my popcorn ready.   Shy
