I heard Ujiri wanted additional compensation to Precious.  Wonder what that will be.
Heat swinging for the fences. Lowry/Butler/DeRozan/Robinson/Adebayo. Even if they can pull it of I still wouldn´t have them ahead of the Bucks or Nets.

Tyler Herro is the asset of note. I'm sure of it. Toronto wants him, Heat don't want to give him up.

The winner might determine where Powell plays next season, lol.
Now call Toronto and give them Burke+Powell for Dragic.

And KP for Siakam.
Dragic is not a prize in this deal from Mia, he is salary filler. Mavs shouldn’t be giving Tor the value they want in the trade it should be Mia. Why is it Nico yhat is being squeezed instead of Pat Riley? Makes no sense!

I mean, sure, expand the deal to include Siakam or Anunoby for KP and I’m all for giving them JB, Green and TT!

Exactly. Which is why I am thankful Nico hasn't caved.

I guess we don't know for sure, but if I can correctly remember the gist of the tweets, the argument would be over the camparison of the value of Dragic's contract AND the contracts that the Mavs would be sending back. So they're playing chicken at the moment. Does that sound accrate?

Same for Dwight Powell, except he is actually owed more years than Dragic.
So Toronto has a point for asking for compensation, same way Mavs has the right to refuse to pay.

I still think the only way to balance that trade is to include Siakam and KP. Just saying.

While I agree that Powell’s contract is not good (neither is Dragic’s), we would also be taking on $5Mish this year in the trade. That is not insignificant and IMO, makes up for $11M they pay for Powell next year, that and the fact that Powell isn’t a useless player, just overpaid.

From a negotiating standpoint, this is astute.

I think most owners care more about that extra $5 million (immediate spending) than fans think.

But, I also really want Dragic. So, I'm happy if it's true the Mavs are getting better at negotiating, but I'll also be sad if they don't get Dragic.
