Agreed. The Mavs offense wasn't the best early, and Lee certainly contributed to that. BUT he definitely slowed down Beal. Dude was ice-cold all night.

Anyone else think the Mavs better play a lot better than tonight if they want to beat the Pelicans?

They can play like the first three quarters. It's tough to say because oftentimes you see NBA teams let up when they get a 20 point lead.

Well, maybe, but they were jacking up way too many early shot clock threes for me in the first half. Not looking to drive the lane, put pressure on the defense, etc.

I wonder how Mavswill start against Pelicans small ball lineup. They are starting Ball-Reddick-Jrue-Ingram-Favors.
I would counter with Doncic-Wright-Jackson/Curry/THJ-DFS-KP, each guarding Pels in same order.
Favors will have huge problems running around after KP. We might have a problem guarding their 3 very guards.
Pels are playing extremely fast and they used 12 players against Toronto.

If we see the 2nd and 3rd quarter consistently this year, this is a playoff team.

I'm a fan of this idea! Out of your 5th starter choices, I'd choose Jackson to start and Curry to close.

I'm pretty sure you'll see it again. It will probably be peppered into games in particular situations until they have enough data to judge the lineup. I'm sure the purpose of the lineup would be to provide a situational change up against certain types of opposing lineups.
Some of the lineups over the years that the forum has complained about actually do well statistically. I'm interested to see if they have a situational weapon with this one.

The better question is, IMO, why not just have a separate postgame thread and put a Dirkie poll on there when we win like it was a long time ago
