This is single handedly the greatest day as a true MFFL since we won the championship! Yes, even better than when we drafted Luka. Cuban finally rid himself of the plague that was Donnie and Carlisle, the two biggest culprits for our mediocrity the last 10 seasons.

Change is back in season, and real championship aspirations are back on the menu MFFL's. Thank you Cuban, ValarMorghulis, and Ty Lue for saving this franchise. Today will forever be known as MFFL Day! Rejoice!

The outcomes might have been needed and they might have been driven by Cuban's decisions, but this wasn't a some masterful plan by Cubes.
To each their own. Just ignore the reports that basically confirm that Cuban is making the decisions. And don´t complain if things do not improve without them.

I step down…mutually!
RC was not the answer long-term for this new era. But I don't see how you can blame the last 10 years on him...he was only able to make do with the trash that Donnie and Cuban gave him every offseason. A constantly changing roster of C-level players every year with Dirk.

In RC's tenure here, the Mavs only had a Top-4 seed twice. The rest of the 1st round exists were due to being playoff fodder as a low seed. You look at any coach, even the greats like Popovich and Phil Jackson - their playoff record in the seasons where they don't have a top-4 seed are not very good either. Even LeBron finally was bounced in the 1st round this year because for the first time in his career, he was playing as a lower seed.

So we can look at the Mavs playoff record and wonder why RC hasn't done more but there's not a lot you can do when you're constantly the underdog in the 1st round.

How's the old saying [Fake Narrative] go again, my fellow MFFL's? "Cuban bad. Carlisle + Donnie = Elite! We should have Giannis! Damn you Cubes!"

There’s a time and place for everything … and everyone.

I appreciate what Donnie and Carlisle did for this franchise.

Donnie hit some huge home runs for us in the few swings he took at the top of the draft in Dirk, Devin, and Doncic. Had some underrated steals along the way as well with guys like Barea.

Carlisle took a rudderless squad and helped guide it to a title. He instilled a work ethic character into the franchise and gave us some semblance of a stable identity through some rocky years.

They put in great work for us for quite some time during that place in franchise history.
The past few years have shown times are changing and places must also change.

I’m now excited about a fresh new beginning, which is well adapted more for today’s players and team strategies. More welcoming of analytics. More player-friendly. I’m excited for a new time and place.

The end of an era also means the start of a new era! Let’s gooooooooo.
Not sure how appropriate it is but big LIKE for Edwin Hawkins song selection.  Big Grin

Yeah a decade since the championship is long enough.  The King is dead, long live the King.
