was a big factor in this series. The contrast between us and them is extremely clear. This team has a lot of heart and a lot of skill, needs more skill, but also needs A LOT more force.

We aren’t going to run this team back next year and be more athletic, or more strong, but I think this year vs. last we were smarter and more skilled.

Here’s a player I know wouldn’t have changed the series, but that’s on the roster right now that could maybe make a difference next year is Josh Green. I don’t know how good of a player Green is, but I know he plays with force. So I hope he can develop. It’s on Carlisle to get whatever potential he has out of him.

A lot to be said about this roster this summer, a lot of players can be called out for not playing with force, and we need A LOT more than Josh Green.

Welcome to the board!

I agree - I expect Green to be more prominently factored into the plans next year, and I'm excited about that.
Happy to be here!
Welcome...force has been one of my big points.  Although my definition of force is a little different than yours.  Your definition is definitely needed.   I want guys who put pressure on other teams.  Guys who can just destroy a defense by getting into the lane.   I think we desperately need that with our current team.  Especially when our threes are not falling.  I want a guy who can play off Luka and attack the basket when Luka takes all the defensive attention.

Sure we need to improve on defense and also need to get more toughness, but I think a guy who pressures the defense differently than everyone else would really help improve things.

I agree about Green.  He needs a lot of regular season minutes next year.  Even if we see a lot of ups and downs.   They need to let him learn on the go.   The Burkes, Richardsons for the world can't be progress stoppers for him.    I don't blame them for not giving him a lot of minutes this year, but that can't be the excuse next year.
