After watching TJ McConnell in the playoffs I would love to take a shot at a player with a similar skillset.

New Orleans Pelicans chatter: Pelicans have considered deferring their pick from the Lakers until next year, I’m told.

Pelicans currently hold the Lakers’ 2024 first round pick at No. 17 but have the option to defer the pick to 2025.

The deadline to defer is June 1st.
14x All-Star, 12x all-NBA, 1x MVP, 1x Finals MVP, 1 NBA Championship: Dirk Nowitzki, the man, the myth, the legend.

Unless you absolutely fall in love with someone that should be available, I would think that you would probably gamble that Lebron leaves or that they just crater with Lebron.  Expected strength of next years draft should also be taken into accounting.

Makes sense. Lakers likely to be worse next year.
